The Moorea Marathon, first established in 1988, is set to celebrate its 34th year in 2025. Over the decades, this marathon has blossomed into a premier global event, drawing runners from across the world who seek not only the challenge of long-distance running but also the unique opportunity to experience one of the most picturesque marathon routes. Moorea, often referred to as the "sister island of Tahiti," provides runners with a stunning backdrop of lush tropical landscapes, crystal-clear lagoons, and vibrant Polynesian culture. The course, known for its breathtaking beauty, ranks among the most scenic marathons in the world.
What makes the Moorea Marathon stand out is its festive atmosphere and deep cultural roots. Along the course, refreshment stations are infused with lively music and entertainment, reflecting the island’s joyful spirit. The opening ceremonies set the tone, showcasing traditional Polynesian dances and oratory art (Orero), imbuing the race with the powerful “Mana” that defines Polynesian culture. In 2025, the marathon will be managed by Fenua Events, promising a fresh and invigorating experience for participants while maintaining the beloved traditions that have made it a cherished event for over three decades.

All participants must be aged 18 years and over to participate in this event. All required taxes are included in the price. Prices may be subject to adverse currency fluctuations. Surcharges apply for payment via credit card. It is imperative that each passenger hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of departure from Tahiti. It is your responsibility to obtain any relevant visas or vaccinations. We strongly recommend Travel Insurance.
